We’ll offer the basics of different areas of interest and the environment adapts to the community members (adults and children). Every person has the right to offer classes if they feel they have something to share. Any other person can join those classes if they want to. It’s an organic process of using the free market. A child can ask any other person for help or ask questions (choosing their teacher) and we’ll support each other.
The role of adults at APTB
The part that adults play is a passive act. They also follow their interests. We are available when a child asks a question or for help. Children also set their own standards of achievement so there is no need for any adult to either praise, critique or test them. We only help or give input when a child specifically asks for it.
You can read more about this in our Guidelines.
At some point, through an organic process, there’ll be Partners teaching regular classes of all sorts that can be joined voluntarily. A time table will be built bit by bit as participants see as fit.
“Children learn from anything and everything they see. They learn wherever they are, not just in special learning places.”
